The Center Lies on the Outside: Rirkrit Tiravanija and the Art of Noji serves both as an archive and a tribute to untitled 2022 (submit to the black compost), a work by Rirkrit Tiravanija presented at Next Door to the Museum (NDtotheM) during the 3rd Jeju Biennale (November 16, 2022-February 12, 2023). This artwork forms the conceptual backbone of the book, which unfolds across nine chapters written by Yujin Lee. Each chapter opens with words from Tiravanija, excerpted from a conversation with Lee that took place in Chiang Mai, Thailand, on February 12, 2024.
